The needle goes straight through this cartilage, usually from front to back. The piece of cartilage on the other side, above your earlobe, is called the antitragus. There are few nerve endings in the tragus. The needle does go through a fairly thick piece of cartilage, and you\u2019ll feel that as a sharp, brief pressure.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Immediately after the filling is placed, the area will feel warm and tender. Sometimes this sensation may spread briefly to the edge of your ear or your jaw, but it usually subsides quickly.
