The Imagine Film Festival will take place in Amsterdam from October 29 through November 8, 2026, and focuses on horror, fantasy, and science fiction. With Halloween just around the corner, it’s a great place to catch a few movies you probably wouldn’t watch on a typical Friday night.
Perfect for a date, a night out with friends, or if you’d rather watch someone else get chased by a monster.
3. Get the hair on the back of your neck standing at The Amsterdam Dungeon
At The Amsterdam Dungeon, you don’t have to provide the horror yourself. You walk through various scenes from Amsterdam’s dark history, complete with actors, special effects, and, of course, plenty of moments when you’ll wonder why you voluntarily got yourself into this.
It’s especially fun with a group of friends. And here’s a bonus: you can find out right away which one of you gets scared the fastest.
4. Celebrate Halloween at NYX during HalloQueen
On Saturday, October 31, HalloQueen is scheduled to perform at Club NYX. Expect a night of dancing, costumes, and an audience that has likely put a little more effort into their Halloween outfits than usual.
So just put on that outfit you normally wouldn’t quite dare to wear out in public. Halloween is the perfect time for it.
